Basics
Yes, we’re happy to provide vegetarian and vegan meals. Please let us know at least 24 hours before your tour.
Depending on your tour, we’ll either stop at a restaurant serving Northwest cuisine or serve a gourmet lunch composed of a variety of locally sourced ingredients. Expect a protein like fish or chicken served with plenty of hearty side dishes including salads, grains, and vegetables. Snacks are also available throughout the day. Please let us know at least 24 hours before your tour if you have any dietary restrictions, and we’ll make every effort to accommodate.
Yes! We happily offer private tours for groups of up to 7 guests. Please see our private tours page for more information.
Every Yonder Sky tour travels in comfort in an eight-passenger Mercedes-Benz Metris van. We chose these spacious luxury vehicles specifically for guest comfort and our small group tour experience. They’re big enough to provide ample leg room and comfort yet small enough to feel intimate.
We’re Daniel and Matt, the owners and operators of Yonder Sky. One of us leads every tour personally. Click here to learn more about us.
Our small group day tours are designed for people of all abilities. Most stops and viewpoints are enjoyable just a few steps from the vehicle. Optional nature walks and free time give people who want more exercise a chance to hit the trail. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Group tours have a maximum of 7 guests. You won’t find a smaller and more intimate group tour experience anywhere else!
Our day tours include hotel pick-up and drop-off, breakfast pastries, a gourmet lunch, local drinks, coffee, water, snacks, park entrance fees, and an experienced local guide. All winery tasting fees are included in the Seattle Wine and Waterfall Tour and Bainbridge Island Wine and History Tour.
Preparation
Washington’s weather is generally mild, but it can be unpredictable. The best practice is to dress in layers that can easily be removed or added. We recommend a light jacket outer layer to protect against wind or unexpected rain showers. For footwear, please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes or hiking boots that you don’t mind getting a little muddy. We also recommend a hat and sunglasses for sunny days. Let us know if any of these items didn’t make it into your suitcase, and we’ll happily loan you some of our gear.
We recommend appropriate clothing (see above), your camera, necessary medications, sunscreen, and a small day pack if desired. We’ll take care of everything else.
We offer pick-up and drop-off at hotels and vacation rentals in the downtown Seattle area. Pick-up is also available in SeaTac for our Mount Rainier National Park Tour and in downtown Bellevue for our Seattle Wine and Waterfall Tour. We’ll contact you 24 hours prior to your tour to confirm the exact time and location.
Weather and Cancellation
Thankfully, Washington is beautiful rain or shine. Our guides choose the best itinerary each day to accommodate the weather. Tours will only be cancelled in the event of severe weather or treacherous road conditions.
Some things, like severe weather or road closures, are outside our control. If we need to cancel the tour for any reason, we’ll let you know as soon as possible, issue you a full refund, and make every effort to find a great alternative for your day.
We can accommodate changes and cancellations with sufficient advance notice. Please see our Terms and Conditions for our complete policy.
